| The awesome rock faces of Whiteside Mountain are accessible from a beautiful 1.1 mile loop trail which takes the hiker across the tops of Whiteside Cliffs. Whiteside Mountain located between Highlands and Cashiers, NC, is a very popular short hike. We were fortunate enough to see Peregrine Falcons soaring above the rock cliffs. The Peregrines were re-introduced to the area several years ago. The Falcons had nested here a few weeks earlier and we were very excited to get to see them in August 1998 and June 2001 |
